We're in Houston

April 13, 2006

Well, we have arrived and this place still has the same feel as it did when we lived here. A lot has changed but yet it still brings back all the memories of when we lived here. It feels like I should be able to go on over to North Braeswood, into Meyer Grove Apartments, and go home. Tim and I have even been talking about moving back here again. This place is a much bigger city than where we live now and full of so many more opportunities than little St. Augustine. But on the flip side of that, I kinda like the subburb life. Except when it comes to having to drive all the way to Jacksonville to go to a movie, or to a decent mall.

We also got to see our dear friends this evening. Reagan really looked great and her daughter was cuter than I remember. The boys had a blast sitting with her at dinner, sharing stories, laughing, and playing. They also went with us to Build A Bear to get Bumpo's Elmo repaired. After that, we went to the middle of the mall to a little play area and let the kids play for a couple hours. I know they were all in heaven. Tim and I had a great time sitting and chatting with Reagan until the mall basically closed down around us.

Tomorrow sounds like it's going to pretty full as well. We plan on taking the kids on an egg hunt with a few of Reagan's friends, then to a scrapbook store later on in the day. Oh, how I miss scrapbook stores. One more point for Houston!
