Such a Nice Weekend

Ahhh, I love a good relaxing weekend! One that isn't full of engagement after engagement. One that we're able to come and go as we please, do what we want to do, and even spend the entire weekend at HOME if we choose, enjoying the pool, and each other.

That was the kind of weekend we had. Tim had to work most of the weekend so the kids and I were on our own to enjoy the pool, the playground, and we spent a lot of time reconnecting. It was awesome. I love those boys. There is no one I would have rather shared my weekend with. It would have been nice if Tim could have been there for more of it, but he did make up for it on Sunday. We all sat down to an awesome dinner together followed by us all cuddled up on the couch to watch the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie. That was fun. I can't wait to see the second now. Let me tell you though, tracking down the movie was a chore in and of itself. Seems like everyone in this darn town had the same idea we had. The plan was that we'd pick up the movie after Tim got out of work on Sunday. Well, we searched Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Turtle Music, Blockbuster, and a few other places to no avail. We were just about to give up when we remembered we have a friend in the complex who happens to own the movie. She was a life-saver. Thanks to her, our evening went on as planned (a litter later than we had in mind) and we all had a great time.

This next weekend Tim has four days off so we're going to make good use of the time. Which probably means no lounging around the house but you better believe that no matter what we do, we'll do it together and have a blast none the less.
